Is Bigger Better?

Well, last month we brought you the "Juicy Lucy," care of one of the food shows we like to watch, "Man vs. Food." This month we bring you the very, very, very large pizza, care of the same show!

I was watching last month when I realized that the host was actually in San Antonio for one of his "Man vs. Food" challenges. This time he was at a local pizza joint called Big Lou's, home of the 40" pizza! So a couple of weekends ago we headed out there to see if bigger really was better...
First we grabbed a root beer and checked out the menu. Although we knew we couldn't finish a 40" pizza on our own, we had a fun time looking around at the families who did try to complete the feat.
Yes, it really is that big...and they charge an extra $5 for a special box to take all your oversized leftovers in!
When we got there they said it was a 2 HOUR WAIT if we wanted to eat there...so we decided a to-go order would be just fine. Small problem... people DO NOT UNDERSTAND MY NAME! Evidence of this can be seen on the pizza box below...

No, I have not changed my name to Marie... I didn't even spell out M..A...R...I...E... I spelled out R...O...R....Y! So needless to say we didn't really respond when they called out a pizza for "Marie."

I still can't figure this one out... How does Rory become Marie? They sound alike, but when you spell them out really slowly there are some pretty basic letter that do not exist!

I'll have to add this one to my "Rory variation list." Right next to "Roxy" and "You're named after that Gilmore Girl, aren't you!" ....come on people I was born way before the TV show Gilmore Girls EVER started!

It took a while to get our order, but then we headed back home!

We tried the brisket pizza, and then just a pepperoni and mushroom pizza, and both were marginal. Oh well...It was worth a shot, a name change, and some good people watching...but maybe not worth the pizza!

Yummm. I want pizza now. You know, I never get how people mess up names. Noelle always becomes Nicole and Rob always becomes Ralph.
