Hanging with the 'Rents

My parents came down to visit last weekend, so I thought I'd share a few of the highlights! We headed down to the Riverwalk and the Christmas lights were still up, so it was a beautiful night!


Mom and I decided to wear scarves, though I think it might have been about 65 that night! =)

We stopped off at one of the riverside restaurants for appetizers and drinks! Though I had to laugh when they brought out our $12 quesadilla appetizer, cut into quarters. The slices were about the size of a quarter too! Let's just say I'm glad they gave us chips and salsa too.

The next day we headed up to Fredericksburg, to my Dad's very favorite bakery, "Rather Sweet Bakery & Deli." He is like a kid in a candy shop up there, and we headed home with lemon bars, brownies, mini key lime pies, and about 5 other tasty treats!

That evening we took them out to Longhorn Cafe, for some of our favorite (and cheap) burgers in town. And yes, there was a balloon animal guy there. I convinced him that Jeremy wanted something special....and we ended up with this. Yes, that would be a toilet. Even with the little flush lever! I'm already afraid of how Jeremy might get back at me for this one! =) Oh wait, he broke his hand the next day - that would do it!
